Good to know

House rules, mostly. The short version: bring friends, leave the dog and the cooler at home.

  • No. The taproom is walk-in, seven days a week, 10 am to 6 pm. Planning a group or a party? Private events are booked April to August through Events@HMorchard.com.
  • Sorry, no. Under the Department of Agriculture's Good Food policy, dogs aren't allowed on the farm. Trained service dogs are welcome.
  • Outside food and drinks are not permitted at any time. Harvest Moon's café kitchen serves breakfast and lunch until 3 pm, and the farm store is right next door.
  • The café closes at 3 pm. On Cider Nights (Fridays, May to mid-September) there's wood-fired pizza from 5 to 9 pm.
  • Right here. Growing, picking, cleaning, pressing, fermenting and bottling all happen on the farm at 130 Hardscrabble Road.
  • The farm is about an hour from Manhattan and minutes from Metro-North, so a train plus a short cab ride works.
